NBA Takes Strides Towards Legalized Gambling

Under commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA has begun a slow foray into the world of legalized gambling. The league, as well as MLB, the NHL and others, stand to make millions from potential partnerships with gambling sites or casinos partnerships. While gambling has been distanced from professional sports, this new action may entice others. Rodney Paul, a sports management professor, made a short, but to the point, statement to the LA Times about this movement.
“You want anything that keeps those games interesting,” he said, which gambling will surely help.
