The article featured a hypothetical: given $100 billion over five years to solve the opioid crisis, how would this panel of expert allocate the money?

Monnat chose community development to receive the lion’s share of the money, saying that, “this will attack the opioid epidemic, but it will also be beneficial for other pressing public health problems. I would include in this funding building opportunities/outlets for social cohesion, community engagement and civic participation,” she said
