Doron Dorfman, associate professor in the College of Law, was interviewed by The State for the article, “” Dorfman, an expert on public health law, says that the 10th Amendment of the Constitution “clearly gives states the authority to oversee matters such as the public’s health and safety.” However, the state and governors also “have the authority to make sure that people do wear masks to protect other people from the spread of the virus, and there’s not a constitutional right not to wear a mask.”
