Roger Koppl, professor of finance in the Whitman School, authored an op-ed for the Institute for Economic Affairs titled “.” Koppl, who researches the economic theory of experts, comments on how many governments across Europe are having to enforce lockdowns again due rising cases of COVID 19. Koppl says that England in particular is “toggling lockdowns on and off on like a faulty light switch. This toggling creates uncertainty, which is bad for investment and job creation, without providing a clear health benefit.”
