Gladys McCormick, associate professor of history in the Maxwell School, was quoted in The Wall Street Journal story “” McCormick, who serves as the  Jay and Debe Moskowitz Endowed Chair in Mexico-U.S. Relations, believes that General Cienfuegos, a Mexican general recently arrested in the U.S., will likely never go to court due to the military’s power in society. “The Mexican attorney general may follow through on the pretense of investigating Cienfuegos, but nothing will come of it because he is untouchable,” says McCormick.
