Kohn, an expert on elder law, says that delays in vaccinating nursing home and assisted living site residents are lethal because residents are at increased risk of dying from COVID 19. “The devastation we’re seeing in nursing homes is not inevitable. There’s so much that can be done to stop the unnecessary deaths we’re seeing,” says Kohn, who also recommends that the federal government put stricter limits on nursing home works to prevent spread.
