Lawmakers Split Over COVID Vaccine Mandate for Workers

Doron Dorfman, associate professor of law in the College of Law, was quoted in the Medpage Today article titled, “.” Doron, an expert on public health law and anti-discrimination and equity law, explains that employers mandating the COVID-19 vaccine must provide reasonable accommodations for employees who hold religious beliefs against vaccines. However, he noted that employers do have the right to “tease out religious beliefs” to ensure employees are not abusing anti-discrimination law.
