ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Department of Public Safety (DPS) promoted seven of its employees on Friday, May 6, at the department’s fourth annual awards ceremony. The promotions are a testament to the fine work and dedication of DPS employees, and an acknowledgement of the continual growth of the Public Safety department.Â
Mike Kearns was promoted to assistant director for public safety communications and technical operations. Jim Santoferrara was promoted to public safety communications manager, reporting to assistant director Kearns. Jim Keefe was promoted to public safety communications supervisor, reporting to Santoferrara.Â
Among the Investigations Unit, Vern Thompson was promoted to the rank of captain of investigations. Kathy Pabis was promoted to the rank of lieutenant of investigations. A new position in the Investigations Unit was filled by Dave Buske, who becomes a detective/corporal, reporting to Lt. Pabis.
Adam Wheeler was promoted to corporal, assigned to the Training Unit and reporting to Lt. Jill Lentz.Â
All seven promotions officially come into effect on July 1.
