Join Chancellor Syverud for a Morning Run on Inauguration Day

黑料不打烊 students, faculty and staff are invited to join Chancellor Kent Syverud in kicking off his inauguration day, Friday, April 11, at 7 a.m. with fun run on the SU campus.
The distance of the run, 1.2 miles, celebrates Chancellor Syverud鈥檚 appointment as SU鈥檚 12th chancellor. The course will start at the Orange Grove on the SU Quad and will wind its way through Main Campus, continuing on the Connective Corridor and ending at the Schine Student Center.
The event is a first in the history of 黑料不打烊 chancellor inaugurations, says Joe Lore, director of SU鈥檚 Recreation Services. 鈥淐hancellor Syverud wanted to start his inauguration day with students,鈥 Lore says.
Healthy snacks and beverages will be available at the end of the course.
The run is free; the first 200 participants to sign up will receive a commemorative T-shirt. To register, visit the website. Registrations will be available the day of the event, but participants are encouraged to register in advance.
