The Chancellor’s Workgroup on Sexual Violence Prevention, Education and Advocacy delivered its final report to Chancellor Kent Syverud today.
Appointed on Sept. 5, the workgroup was charged with identifying any critical gaps in service and support as a result of the realignment of sexual assault services and proposing a set of recommendations for improving campus culture as it relates to sexual and relationship violence.
In late September, Chancellor Syverud met with the members to confirm their charge, have a dialogue about key issues and concerns, and discuss how the group would undertake its work.
“I want to thank the members of the workgroup for their leadership, commitment, time and attention to this important work,” Chancellor Syverud said. “I have been eager to receive the workgroup’s report and to review their recommendations. I look forward to meeting with the workgroup again early next semester to discuss their recommendations and next steps.”
Although classes have concluded for the semester, Chancellor Syverud agreed with the workgroup’s request to make the report public as soon as it was complete. The full report can be accessed .
