ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ kicks off Diversity Week on Monday, Feb. 7, with a variety of daily events. A well-rounded legal professional must understand the ever-changing world in which we live and practice; these programs are designed as forums for students to exchange on the similarities and differences in the law community and beyond.
“Our students will be confronted with issues concerning diversity on all levels, whether as they become acclimated to the culture of their workplace, or in representing their clients and their interests,” says Melanie C. Rodriguez L’00, associate director of the Office of Student Life. “The goal of Diversity Week, and for future programs, is to provide students with the necessary skills to be successful within a global marketplace. We want our students to be able to explore difference as they continue to develop their personal interests and beliefs.”
