The ‘s Entertainment & Sports Law Society will present its second Annual Spring Panel Event Wednesday, April 10, at 5:45 p.m. in Room 104.

The panel will feature ESPN’s Kristi Dosh and Professor Rick Burton from the ‘s sports management program.

The event will include insights on career opportunities in entertainment and sports law. Wegman’s subs will be provided.

Dosh is ESPN’s sports business reporter, reporting on such topics as collective bargaining, endorsements and the finances of pro and collegiate athletics. Prior to joining ESPN, Dosh was a practicing attorney at Taylor English Duma LLP in Atlanta, and a sports business analyst for Forbes.com, Comcast and the Pulse Network. In addition to giving frequent guest lectures, Dosh is also the author of two books, “Balancing Baseball: How Collective Bargaining Has Changed the Major Leagues,” and the soon-to-be-released “Saturday Millionaires: Why College Athletes Will Never Be Paid and Other Untold Truths About the Business of College Football.”

Burton is the David B. Falk Distinguished Professor of Sport Management. Previously, Burton was the commissioner of the Australian National Basketball League, where he was responsible for all aspect’s of the NBL’s development and growth, including securing TV packages, naming rights sponsorships, collective bargaining agreements and league profitability. Burton was also able to place a team in Singapore, becoming the first western sports league to have a team in China. Most recently, Burton served as the chief marketing officer for the U.S. Olympic Committee at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics.
