FISA laws were discussed by Institute of National Security and Counterterrorism founding direct and Law Professor William Banks for an article for the New York Times.
“Carter Page was doing business in Russia, talking to Russian diplomats who may have been involved in intelligence activities directed at the United States,” he said. “Game over. The standards are incredibly open-ended.” Banks also added that the government, in seeking FISA warrants, has plenty of leeway.
