Roy Gutterman, associate professor of newspaper and online journalism in the Newhouse School and director of the Tully Center for Free Speech, had a featured in the Washington Post story “” Professor Gutterman, an expert on communications law and the First Amendment, says that “the answer to hate speech is more speech,” as the doctrine of “more speech” affects how both people and the government choose to regulate speech.
