Robert Thompson, trustee professor of television, radio and film and director of the Bleier Center for Television and Pop Culture in the Newhouse School, was quoted in the Orlando Sentinel article titled, “” Thompson, an expert on pop culture, says that COVID-19 has greatly impacted the magical world of Disney, and that “going to Disney World for that experience in the past was so fundamentally defined by the very things that now have to be regulated.” He says that for some the changes to the park do not make for an experience that visitors want, but for others “taking a selfie with a face mask on the Magic Kingdom’s Main Street will capture a historic moment in these strange times.”
