Paula Johnson, a professor in the College of Law and co-director of the Cold Case Justice Initiative, wrote a commentary for syracuse.com titled “” The commentary honors the late Rep. John Lewis and Rev. C.T. Vivian, who were both essential figures in the Civil Rights Movement. Johnson says “the lives and legacies of these great men must not be forgotten,” and that “it is now up to each of us to carry on their work and realize the guarantees of racial equality, voting rights and justice for all to which they devoted their entire lives.”
