Nina Kohn, the David M. Levy Professor of Law and Faculty Director of Online Education at the College of Law, was interviewed by the Chicago Reader for the article “” Kohn, who is an expert on the legal rights of elderly persons, feels that certain states have risked the lives of the elderly with nursing home and hospital immunity orders during the pandemic. “Just when you think it can’t get worse, you see that what Illinois did was simultaneously suspend substantial portions of both the public system for protecting residents and the private system for protecting residents,” says Kohn.
