“The future of the September issue was already uncertain. Then 2020 happened.”聽

Aileen Gallagher, associate professor of magazine, news and digital journalism in the Newhouse School, was quoted by CNN for the piece “” Gallagher, who has worked at various magazines throughout her career before teaching, recognizes that this year’s September issue is expected to bring in less revenue for many magazines. However, Gallagher says that print issues are still of value to many. “Nothing comes close to replicating that sense of discovery and delight that comes from reading a print magazine,” says Gallagher.
