Ray Wimer, professor of retail practice in the Whitman School, was quoted by U.S. News and World Report for the article “” The retail chain Walmart has launched a new membership program, Walmart+, that is said to be similar to Amazon Prime. However, some say that Walmart’s new service misses the mark, including Wimer. “Walmart’s subscription only offers 160,000 items plucked directly from stores at launch while Amazon stocks 10-plus million Prime-eligible items,” says Wimer.
