Nina Kohn, the David M. Levy Professor of Law and faculty director of online education in the College of Law, was interviewed by WHEC TV (Rochester) for the story “.” Kohn, an expert in elder law and civil rights, says that many nursing home residents face challenges with voting in the 2020 election since the pandemic has created increased restrictions at many facilities. “A resident of a nursing home needs substantial assistance typically to be able to vote and when that assistance isn’t forthcoming, as a practical matter, they won’t be able to vote,” says Kohn.
