The research of Nina Kohn, the David M. Levy Professor of Law and Faculty Director of Online Education in the College of Law, was cited in the NBC News opinion piece “” Kohn, who studies the legalities of conservatorship, testified in 2018 to the Senate Special Committee on Aging. This testimony was cited in the piece, as Kohn stated that unintentional harm can often come from conservatorships, as stripping “a person of her agency can’t help but be abusive, even when fiduciaries are doing their jobs.”
