David Larsen, associate professor of public health in Falk College, was quoted by ABC News Radio for the story “.” Larsen, an expert in epidemiology, has helped lead the University’s procedures to prevent the spread of COVID 19. In the piece, Larsen says that state vaccine programs’ prioritization of vulnerable Americans has helped reduce the number of COVID 19 patients in hospitals across the country. “By increasing the doses to those groups … that will likely continue the drop in hospitalization,” says Larsen, however he still worries that there could be a jump in cases with the new variants of the virus.
