Grant Reeher, professor of political science and director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute in the Maxwell School, was quoted in The Hill story “.” Reeher, who studies American politics, says that a president’s job is to build confidence in the public that they can overcome any difficulties the nation is facing. Reeher says that Biden “has been careful to make clear that he is not saying the whole thing will be behind us by the end of May,” as he must balance the possibility of being too optimistic or too pessimistic.
