Gabby Petito’s Case Coverage Reveals Implicit Bias and Lack of Diversity in Media

In the Associated Press article, Liebler discussed the case of Gabby Petito and the media’s lack of coverage for missing women of color. She said, ‘The causes are layered, but implicit bias in favor of both whiteness and conventional beauty standards play in, along with a lack of newsroom diversity and police choices in which cases to pursue.’
