Sylvia Sierra, assistant professor of communication and rhetorical studies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, was quoted in the Elephant Magazine story “” Sierra, an expert on popular culture and millennials’ media consumption, thinks that the current backlash against the infamous “Live, Laugh, Love” phrase comes from its triteness. “It seems inauthentic, and authenticity is something younger people, especially, value a lot when it comes to their online content,” Sierra said.
