Paula C. Johnson
Paula C. Johnson is professor of law at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College of Law. She currently serves as co-president of the Society of American Law Teachers (SALT), a national organization of approx. 800 law professors. At ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, she teaches criminal law, criminal procedure, voting rights, professional responsibility, and a seminar on women in the criminal justice system.
At ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Prof. Johnson serves on a broad range of College of Law and University committees. She currently serves on the Chancellor’s Search Committee, and has served as co-chair of Sistaprof, an organization of Africana women professors at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, and served as co-chair of the S.U. Senate’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) Concerns Committee. Her public service includes membership on the boards of the Hiscock Legal Aid Society, the Center for Community Alternatives, and the Battered Women’s Justice Project National Advisory Committee.
In 2003, she received the Unsung Heroine Award from the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards Committee, and the Woman of the Year Award from the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ African American Male Congress.
