The future of radio will be the focus of a conference to be held Friday, March 5, from 2- 5 p.m. in Room A1 in Newhouse 1.

On March 3 and 4, George Gittoes will speak with students at ���ϲ����� and LeMoyne College and screen films for the community at the Palace Theater in Eastwood.

The March 4 session of the Institute for Retired Professionals (IRP) will host J. Michael Haynie, assistant professor of entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises at SU’s Whitman School of Management.

Emil Wilbekin, managing editor of Essence.com, will visit the Newhouse School on Tuesday, March 9, as a guest of the magazine journalism department and the Black Communications Society.

Scott Simon, host of National Public Radio’s “Weekend Edition Saturday,” writer and novelist, will share his experiences in reporting from every continent on the globe during a University Lectures presentation on Tuesday, March 9.

In addition to award-winning filmmaker Louis Massiah, the presentation will feature violinist John Blake Jr. and keyboardist Adam Faulk performing jazz interpretations of Massiah’s speech.

On Friday, March 5, the ���ϲ����� Center of Excellence (���ϲ�����CoE) will host a presentation by Lisa Heinzerling, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Associate Administrator for the Office of Policy, Economics and Innovation.

Kristin Carlson ’99 and Lee Zurik ’96, alumni of the broadcast journalism program in ���ϲ�����’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and recent recipients of the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award, will visit SU on Wednesday, March 3.

The Carnegie Legal Reporting Program in ���ϲ�����’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications will host a two-part symposium.
